If you would like more information about research that is being conducted on the benefits of massage therapy, here is a link to the Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami.
Whether it be a 30 minute seated chair massage (see Onsite
Massage) or an 1½ table massage, the benefits can be as
simple as relief from a nagging headache to a profound attitude shift
as one's body and mind begin to let go of worries and stress.
Many of my clients have expressed that after their massage they were
able to resolve or get clarity on a situation or problem that had been
troubling them. I believe this happens because they have been able to
relax enough to let the creative, non-linear part of their brains do
its job; to be able to think outside the box.
